Training Peaks, LLC Changes Company Name to Peaksware, LLC

peaksware logo 250(Boulder, CO, April 1st, 2007) Training Peaks, LLC the leading provider of training software for endurance athletes and coaches, today announced that it is changing its company name to Peaksware, LLC. The primary goals of the name change are to better convey the company’s focus on software development for an expanding portion of the health and fitness related market and also to more clearly delineate between the company and its various product categories. The new corporate website can be found at www.peaksware.com.

“Renaming the company to Peaksware is a first step toward introducing our products and services to a broader audience,” Donavon continues. “We’re proud that the TrainingPeaks brand has become synonymous with advanced technology for endurance athletes and coaches, but we believe our solutions for monitoring, analyzing and planning physiological data can be valuable not only to athletes, but also to people looking to lose weight or just improve their overall fitness and well being.”

Peaksware began as TrainingBible.com, LLC in 2000, an online system that sprung from Co-Founder Joe Friel’s best selling Training Bible book series. In 2004 the company merged with Cycling Peaks Software to create TrainingPeaks, LLC. In addition to accommodating the new desktop software division, the first name change also reflected the company’s expanding focus on providing software services to athletes and professional coaching companies beyond the core Training Bible market.

In addition to the new corporate web site www.Peaksware.com, this spring the company will introduce www.NutriPeaks.com which is an innovative weight management and nutrition tracking tool that leverages the company’s exclusive Calorie Scanner™ technology. NutriPeaks will offer individuals and nutrition professionals the opportunity to work together to achieve weight loss and health goals just like endurance coaches and athletes currently use TrainingPeaks to get ready for races and events.

“The various names associated with our company have resulted in some confusion over the years, but looking back it has actually played out very naturally”, commented Donavon Guyot, CEO. “From day one, we focused on developing software systems to help motivated individuals and professionals achieve health, fitness and peak performance. Peaksware is the natural result of working toward this mission and gives us the flexibility we need going into the future.”
