Cadel Evans First Victory of the Year

It looks like Cadel Evans and his Silence-Lotto teammates have been training with a purpose over the off-season. Evans won the second stage of the Vuelta a Andalucia-Ruta Del Sol and as a bonus had a very strong showing by his teammates Mario Aerts (7th) , Johan Van Summeren (14th), and Dario Cioni (17th) .

Aerts, Van Summeren and Cioni made sure Cadel was well placed leading into the final category 3 climb as they worked at the front of an 18-man escape group. The win moved Evans up to 3rd overall 2:23 behind the race leader Clement Lhotellerie.
