Today's Customer Support Question

How do I download my workout data from my training device to my TrainingPeaks account?

There are three ways to download your workout data from your training device to your TrainingPeaks account: using Device Agent, using WKO+ software, and using the software provided by the device manufacturer. Which method you use depends on which training device you are using and what kind of data analysis you require. All three methods are available to coached athletes and athletes with TrainingPeaks premium accounts, and keep in mind that TrainingPeaks software is compatible with a wide range of training devices. For a list of these devices, click here.

Device Agent is the easiest and most popular method of downloading. To obtain our latest version of Device Agent, please follow this link and click the download button: https://www.trainingpeaks.com/deviceagent/ Then, once the program is downloaded on to your computer, open and install the program. Now, open Device Agent, enter in your TrainingPeaks Username and Password, and use it to extract files from your device and upload them in to your TrainingPeaks.com account.

WKO+ software works a lot like Device Agent, but provides a more detailed analysis of your training data. You can purchase WKO+, our desktop based deep analysis software, and use this software to directly extract data from your device. From WKO+, you can export files directly into your TrainingPeaks account. For more information on downloading with WKO+, click here.

The third option is to use the manufacturer's software that came with your training device to extract the data file from the device. Once you have completed the steps necessary to extract the file from your device (each device is different, so consult your specific device's owner's manual), and you have saved it to your computer (we recommend saving it to an easy to remember location, like your desktop), than you can either Import Existing Data to WKO+ or you can upload it to your TrainingPeaks online account through the Upload from Daily Log.

Happy training, and remember that TrainingPeaks is compatible with a wide range of compatible devices!
