TrainingPeaks Member Profile: Melissa Szarowicz, Runner

The TrainingPeaks team recently caught up with member Melissa Szarowicz at the Indian Peaks golf course. Mainly running for health and overall fitness, Melissa has been using a training plan to help her more efficiently manage her running schedule. She uses a Polar RS800 to help her keep track of her heart rate and distance, and this year she ran the Bolder Boulder, a local 10k that typically draws over 50,000 participants from all over the world.

Watch the video interview to hear how Melissa uses TrainingPeaks and her Polar to pace her training runs and be more efficient in her training.

Name: Melissa Szarowicz

Athlete Type: Runner

Age Group: 20-29

User Type: Self Coached Athlete

TrainingPeaks user for: 4 months

Training Devices used: Polar RS800 to track pace and heart rate.

Best Benefit of TrainingPeaks: My training before was a little choppy, didn't really have any direction... so having a training plan's structure keeps you responsible and it's efficient because you can go online and see your progress.

Other activities: Tubing on Boulder Creek, hiking at Chautauqua, and eating at the Med!
