TrainingPeaks Members Going to the Olympics

clip_image002TrainingPeaks members such as Swedish triathlete Lisa Norden, pictured, are seeing their training pay off by being chosen to represent their country at the 2008 Olympics in August. Norden, who trains with an international group of athletes at camps all over the world, originally became interested in triathlons when she rode her bike from Sweden to Italy with her mother in 2000. "I did a big ride with my mum in the summer of 2000. She had a dream of cycling to Italy, and on her 40th birthday we dipped our toes in the Mediterranean Sea. This was after 19 days in the saddle all the way from Sweden, over the Alps to finish in the Italian city Bibione. The love for the bike was born and when I came home later that summer I signed up for my first triathlon. I was last out of the pool after having done breaststroke for the full 400 meters But I was hooked."

Lisa uses TrainingPeaks to help her keep track of all her different workouts and training devices. "I always train with my heart rate monitor. This season I have been using my Garmin forerunner most but I've started to go back to my polar. I've got the C600 on the bike and the RS800 for running. I like to be able to upload the sessions and compare heart rates, speeds etc. TrainingPeaks is a great help... it allows me to update sessions from all the different gadgets I use. I also really like fact that I can upload the runs on a map, sometimes when training is hard you need those small things to look forward to"
