Runner's World Marathon Challenge Delivered on TrainingPeaks

RWMarathonChallengegraphic Runner's World just announced they are kicking off their first ever Marathon Challenge in this month's July issue of Runner's World magazine and online at http://www.runnersworld.com/challenge. The Marathon Challenge features 16-week training plans created by Runner's World's Chief Running Officer Bart Yasso and will be delivered on TrainingPeaks.com as part of a premium community-oriented program. Read more about the Marathon Challenge at www.rodaleinc.com/newsroom or sign up at http://www.runnersworld.com/challenge.

What makes the Marathon Challenge exciting for fans of Runner's World is that all 14 Runner's World editors will be training alongside the Marathon Challenge participants. "Our Marathon Challenge literally brings the pages of the magazine to life and connects the editors with the running community in a more personal way," says Editor-in-Chief David Willey. "Each participating editor will share his or her own stories, triumphs and training regimes to further inspire members of the Marathon Challenge. We're all training together to reach individual goals."

Runners can choose from one of two premium marathon training programs offered. Premium Plan One is intended for all runners, regardless of what fall marathon you are training for whereas Premium Plan Two is targeted for runners wanting to compete in the SunTrust Richmond Marathon on November 14, 2009. Both Premium programs include all of TrainingPeaks Premium tools along with exclusive access to the Runner's World Loop, the site's online community platform.

If you're training for a running race other than a marathon such as a 5-K, 10-K or Half-Marathon, then Runner's World still has a plan for you available at http://www.runnersworld.com/trainingplans. Or, if you're just wanting to track your training and nutrition, then visit http://www.runnersworld.com/personaltrainer and set up a free basic account.
