Tour de France SRM Power Files Posted for Stage 8 and 9
Chris has ridden superbly for his team in the mountains and has been seen several times setting the pace for the front group. He definitely deserves Monday’s rest day and can hopefully recover well for the stages in the Alpes yet to come.

I'd like to hear people's recommendations on devices to record this kind of data, especially for running and cycling.
It'd be nice to have the combination of effort (heart rate?) and performance (power output for cycling, something similar for running?) and watch that ratio improve with training.
And, it'd be nice to have maps showing gps routes wherever that applies (ie whenever not using a stationary machine).
I've got an iphone with gps already, so it'd be nice to be able to use that. I know it now has a device api for bluetooth devices, so I'm hoping it can talk directly via bluetooth to a heart rate monitor strap and to a cycling power output meter (like a cycleops hub), use an app on the phone to record and display that data during the workout, and then upload it somewhere like trainingpeaks.
I don't want to have a lot of extra gadgets, so I really like the idea of having the phone do as much as possible and talk directly to a small set of measurement devices (HRM strap, nike+ shoe insert, bike power meter).
Suggestions?
Hi Charlie,
You should check out our iPhone apps, some of which allow you to use your iPhone like a training device and some of which convert your iPhone into a sort of syncing device for other training devices. Find out more here:
