Digifit: All your ANT+ Devices Tracked in One App and Connected to TrainingPeaks
Friday, October 8, 2010 at 3:04PM We’re sending out a big congratulations to the team over at Digifit because they’ve been on a roll racking up some big awards and recognition in the consumer technology industry. And with good reason.
Don’t know about Digifit? Digifit’s apps for iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad integrate heart rate monitoring and other fitness and health sensor tracking in one central repository. For example, iRunner works with ANT+ foot pods and heart rate monitors to track pace, distance, speed and heart rate while running indoors or out. The enabling technology for Digifit to work with ANT+ sensors is Digifit™ Connect, an accessory for iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad that receives signals from up to eight ANT+ sensors simultaneously. For a complete list of compatible devices (including those measuring power, cadence, bike speed and more) click here.
Pretty great, right? Tracking all your ANT+ devices (heart rate, speed, cadence, power, scales, etc.) in one mobile app. But it gets better…
TrainingPeaks mobile is included in all of the Digifit apps, so members can upload workout and health data and access TrainingPeaks’ mobile site from within the app. You can view scheduled workouts/meals and record completed workouts, meals and daily metrics.
Our CEO, Donavon Guyot, is excited that Digifit makes uploading to TrainingPeaks.com so easy. He said, “With the simplicity and convenience of Digifit’s apps, tracking fitness and training on TrainingPeaks has never been easier…Members can upload their workout data to their TrainingPeaks account with little more than the tap of a button.”
So what’s in it for you? Well, in celebration of their CITA Hot for the Holidays Best Fitness Product award, Digifit has a really great deal going on. First, you can download a free version of their app (more info about the app here). On top of that, while supplies last, if you upgrade the app ($14.99) to get the advanced functionality, you’ll get Digifit Connect (the accessory that receives the ANT+ signals — normally $79.99) for free!
Check it out and let us know what you think!
