Viewing the Public File Viewer with HTML5

After the last release if you were on PC and Flash compatible Mac browser you may not have been able to test out our HTML5 file viewer since the default option is still set to Flash.

However, we are proud of our first steps into this evolving platform and encourage everyone to try it out. Therefore we offer the following QuickTip to learn how changing a few letters in the public file viewer url can unlock a glimpse of future in TrainingPeaks file analysis.

For more information on HTML5 please read our CEO's, Gear Fisher, thoughts on Flash and HTML5 here.

How do I transfer my WKO+ data from one computer to another?

New computer? Time to get your WKO+ fired up, but you'll need your WKO+ data from your original computer.
Here's how:
First, install and activate WKO+ on your new computer.
Next, copy the Data folder from Libraries : Documents : TrainingPeaks : WKO+ to a removeable storage device such as a "thumb drive" or USB stick.
Next, with WKO+ not running, copy that data folder on the USB stick to the same location on the new computer.  Several dialog boxes will ask if you want to merge.  Say yes to all of them.
When it asks about files with the same name, check the box at the bottom (circled in red) and click Copy and Replace.
When it asks if you to confirm folder replace, check the box at the bottom and select Yes.
Now start up WKO+ and all of your data should be replicated as it was on the old machine.

Where did the "Upload Device File" button go?

With our latest site update, you now have two options for uploading directly to your TrainingPeaks account:
1. Upload from the Create Calendar Item Window . Click the '+' on a calendar day and then click the 'Upload Device File' button. The sport type will automatically select based on your file and the workout will be created. One step!
2. Upload from the Quick View. If you already have a workout created on the calendar and want to attach the device file to it, then use this method. Easy!

Send us a support ticket for personalized help with anything else you have questions with.

Sport type specific Heart Rate Zones in TrainingPeaks

Did you know that you can set different zones for different sports by clicking on the "Add Zone" button at the top lefthand corner of your Heart Rate Zones screen, and then selecting another sport from the list. Now your sport specific zones will apply to workouts of that sport type.

Log in to your account, go to Account Settings, click on Zones, click “Add new” and select a different sport from the list. Click the image below as an example.
